Menstrual pain, also known as dysmenorrhea, refers to the discomfort and cramping experienced by many people during their menstrual cycle.

Causes:
• Uterine contractions, Hormonal changes.
• Prostaglandin production, Stress and anxiety.
• Certain medical conditions.

symptoms:
• Abdominal cramps, Lower back pain, Headaches.
• Nausea or vomiting, Fatigue, Diarrhea/Diarrhoea or constipation.
• Bloating or water retention, Mood swings or irritability.

REMEDY 1
Ginger and Cinnamon Tea .
Ginger and cinnamon tea may alleviate menstrual pain and offer anti-inflammatory benefits due to their natural properties.

Ingredients
• 1-inch piece of fresh ginger,1 cinnamon stick.
• 1 cup of water, Honey (optional).

Instructions
• In a saucepan, bring one cup of water to a boil.
• Add the ginger slices and cinnamon stick pieces to the boiling water.
• Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavours to infuse into the water.
• If desired, add honey to taste for a sweeter flavour.

Guidelines
• Drink this ginger and cinnamon tea 2-3 times a day, starting a day or two before your menstrual cycle is expected to begin and continuing throughout your period.
• If you have allergies or sensitivities to any of the ingredients, avoid using them and consider alternative remedies.

REMEDY 2
Herbal Heat Compress.
A herbal heat compress can help alleviate menstrual pain by providing soothing warmth and the benefits of herbal infusions.

Ingredients
• 1 heating pad or hot water bottle,1 clean cloth or towel.
• 1 teaspoon of dried chamomile flowers.
• 1 teaspoon of dried lavender flowers (optional).

Instructions
• In a small bowl, mix the dried chamomile flowers and lavender flowers (if using).
• Place the herbal blend inside the heating pad or hot water bottle. If you're using a cloth or towel, put the herbal mixture in the centre, and then fold the cloth to make a pouch.
• Lie down comfortably and place the heating pad or bottle on your lower abdomen where you are experiencing menstrual pain.
• Leave the compress in place for 15-20 minutes, allowing the heat and herbs to soothe the pain.

• Heat therapy can help relax the muscles in your abdomen and alleviate cramps associated with menstrual pain.
• Ensure the heating pad or water bottle is not too hot to avoid burns; always follow the manufacturer's instructions for safe use.

REMEDY 3
Warm Bath with Epsom Salt
A warm bath with Epsom salt can help alleviate menstrual pain by relaxing muscles and reducing inflammation.

Ingredients
• 1-2 cups of Epsom salt, Warm bathwater.
• Optional: a few drops of lavender essential oil.

Instructions
• Pour 1-2 cups of Epsom salt into the bathwater. Stir the water to dissolve the salt.
• If you like, add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the bath. Lavender can have relaxing and soothing properties.
• Immerse yourself in the bath and soak for 15-20 minutes.

• Ensure the bathwater is at a safe and comfortable temperature to prevent burns or discomfort.
• If you have any skin sensitivities or allergies, be cautious with essential oils and do a patch test before adding them to your bath.
