Eye pain is a discomfort or sensation of irritation, soreness, or aching in or around the eye.
Causes
• Eye strain or fatigue, dry eyes.
• Foreign object in the eye, conjunctivitis (pink eye).
• Corneal abrasion or injury, sinusitis or sinus pressure.
Symptoms
• Redness of the eye, Blurred vision, Sensitivity to light.
• Swelling or inflammation, Discharge from the eye, Headache.
REMEDY 1
• A cold compress can help reduce eye pain and inflammation.
Ingredients
• Ice cubes, clean cloth.
Instructions
• Wrap ice cubes in a clean cloth and apply gently to closed eyelids for 15 minutes.
Guidelines
• Apply for 15 minutes with eyes closed, and avoid direct contact with ice.
REMEDY 2
• Cucumber slices can soothe and relieve eye discomfort.
Ingredients
• Cucumber slices.
Instructions
• Place chilled cucumber slices on closed eyelids for 10-15 minutes.

REMEDY 3
• A warm saltwater rinse can help cleanse and alleviate eye pain.
Ingredients
• Warm water, salt.
Instructions
• Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of salt in 1 cup of warm water.
• Use an eye dropper or cotton ball to rinse the affected eye gently.

• Ensure the water and container used for the rinse are clean and sterile to prevent infection or further irritation.
